We were contacted recently by a Dutch shipping company who were struggling to source radiators for some Mitsubishi Gen Sets that were operating on a large number of ships in their fleet.
The radiators were no longer available from Mitsubishi and there are no aftermarket versions. The ships would not be allowed out of port without these gen-sets being fully operational so it could turn in to an expensive issue for them.
We asked them to send us a sample and once here, it was drawn up within the day and the parts were soon being stamped out and formed ready for assembly.
Full marine specification cores were manufactured and by the end of the week 3 replacement radiators were heading back to a relieved customer.
